Bab 12. Simple present tense: interrogative sentences

Interrogative sentences alias kalimat tanya simple present tense memiliki pola yang serupa dengan kalimat pernyataan. Kita hanya perlu menambahkan kata kerja bantu do atau does di awal kalimat pernyataan. Lihat perubahan dari kalimat pernyataan menjadi kalimat tanya berikut ini:

They work in a hotel. => Do they work in a hotel?

He works in a hotel. => Does he work in a hotel?

Kita gunakan do untuk subjek they, we, I, you.

Kita gunakan does untuk subjek he, she, it. Ingat lho, dalam kalimat tanya, kata kerjanya TIDAK diimbuhi s/es. Imbuhan s/es HANYA dipakai pada kalimat pernyataan/positif.

Berikut ini adalah pola lengkap kalimat tanya simple present tense:

Semua pertanyaan di atas bermakna ‘Apakah …?’ dan harus dijawab Yes atau No.

Easy, isn’t it? Sekarang silakan berlatih… Soal-soal latihanya mudah kok. Hanya bertujuan membiasakan penggunaan pola kalimat di atas dan menambah kosa kata.
